Playing Fetch

Fetch is game of throw and catch
Between a dog and its match
Who’s human for a fact.
It gives them a chance to interact
To connect, to attach
Different mentality, a total contrast
The game pulls them closer
And like magnets, they attract

Same like the humans God dispatched
To make an impact
To live the world without a scratch
It’s in the contract
Signed by we and the leader of the pact
Yet we throw subs and stacks
Others hustle just to snatch
A piece
Then it distracts
Us from actual peace

Batch by batch
We hatch
From a crack
Into a new dawn, then a new act
Asking for a rematch
All ready, all packed
Pushing emotions like it attacks
Like it’s the enemy
While still struggling to extract
From others the same emotions we desperately detach
Ourselves from.

One makes a statement so abstract
Another sees the need to react
Instead of admitting to have fallen
He continues to overreact
All because of letters jam-packed
Kinda like a mismatch
Forming sentences well intact.
We then cause the issue to protract,
To lengthen
For selfish reasons tucked away so compact
Just cause you are scared of wrack

You have fallen
Admit that
Absorb the fact
Don’t be a dog to human
Playing fetch or making unnecessary contact
By catching what is tossed around
Like kiddies snack.
Get your bags and your sack
And go home. Go back!!!
